Overview
Appleseed is a network of 17 public interest centers in the U.S. and Mexico that aid low-income people in building better lives. The Princeton AlumniCorps is an independent nonprofit that seeks to build civic leadership across generations and mobilize people for the public good. This grant will support the foundation’s operations, including a two-year immigration initiative that both organizations are partnering on called the Immigration Justice Project. The project focuses on forming an immigration collaborative to protect immigrants’ rights; their access to programs and services; and their right to due process in asylum, deportation, and other proceedings. The project will culminate in a final conference where various stakeholders will present their findings and future plans.
