Overview
San Francisco Performances has presented a wide range of music and dance performances for nearly four decades in the Bay Area, with more than 50 seasonal and year-round programs, attracting more than 20,000 people annually. The organization is renowned for showcasing artists in intimate settings, and fostering lasting relationships between international touring artists and San Francisco audiences. Anchored by five multi-year artist residencies each year, San Francisco Performances serves more than 2,000 students in its education program. A renewal grant will allow the organization to continue to sustain and build new audiences, increase contributed revenue, and build the capacities of its board and staff.

for general operating support
San Francisco Performances is one of a handful of presenting organizations that have flourished independently, without the sponsorship of a college, university, or major performing arts center. Known for showcasing internationally acclaimed and emerging performing artists in intimate settings, the organization annually attracts more than 20,000 people to more than fifty performances in a variety of venues throughout San Francisco. In addition to its high-quality and adventuresome programming, the organization reaches more than 2,000 students in grades three through twelve through its education program, anchored by an innovative series of multi-year artist residencies. With renewed support, it intends to continue its outstanding multi-disciplinary programming.
