Overview
Citizens Assemblies, a project of Hamline University led by Political Science Professor David Schultz, will empanel two or three Citizens’ Assemblies (CA) in local governments in Minnesota in order to engage local residents to develop a series of policy recommendations regarding electoral reform in their own communities. CAs will educate citizens who participate and will also engage other community residents to construct concrete electoral and reform proposals that would strengthen local governance and representation, as well as potentially provide blueprints for reform in other communities or at the state level in Minnesota.
