Overview
The Arts Loan Fund is a collaborative program of Northern California Grantmakers, a regional association of grantmakers. The program provides short-term, low-interest loans to arts organizations and artists to help them manage their cash flow. Since 2005, the Arts Loan Fund has made an average of 24 loans each year, of up to $50,000 each. Each year, 83 percent of requests for loans are approved, including many to Hewlett Foundation performing arts grantee organizations. Continued support for the Arts Loan Fund will help ensure the availability of financial resources that are critical to arts organizations’ services, and increase the Arts Loan Fund’s marketing and outreach strategies.
