Overview
In 2011, Beneficent Technology developed "SocialCoding4Good," a project to amplify awareness about humanitarian free and open source software (HFOSS); connect passionate, highly skilled corporate and individual technical volunteers to HFOSS opportunities; and support sustainable HFOSS projects. The SocialCoding4Good team focuses on building relationships with corporations and then identifying and matching volunteers on a highly curated, personal basis. This grant would mark the second year of Hewlett support.
