Northern California Grantmakers

The Arts Loan Fund is a collaborative program of Northern California Grantmakers, a regional association of grantmakers. The program provides short-term, low-interest loans to arts organizations and artists to help them manage their cash flow needs. Each year, an average of twenty-six loans of up to $50,000 each are made to organizations throughout the Bay Area, many to Hewlett Foundation performing arts grantees. Renewed support for the Arts Loan Fund would help ensure the availability of financial resources that are critical to arts organizations’ services.
