Overview
The Charting Impact Initiative is central to our grantmaking strategy to build a supply of high-quality information about nonprofit performance. In the short term, this initiative gives nonprofits a tool to improve the clarity and cogency of their goals and strategies. In the medium term, the five questions from this tool could become the core of a common application form for philanthropy. The three organizations running the initiative (Independent Sector, GuideStar, and the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance) will focus on promoting the widespread adoption of this framework in the coming year.
