Since 1993, Equilibres & Populations (E&P) has pioneered the population and sexual and reproductive health field in France. It advocates for more efficient, sustainable development assistance by mobilizing French, European, and Francophone policymakers and the public to prioritize and support improved health, education, and rights, particularly for women and girls. Funding would enable E&P to maintain its focus on population challenges, particularly in Francophone West Africa, by securing continued support from the French government and other donors for sexual and reproductive health programs and by strengthening political and financial commitment to these issues from the governments of developing countries. Through its regional office in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, E&P works in six West African countries to develop and implement advocacy campaigns that advance population, gender, and adolescent issues in collaboration with local partners. E&P is also a member of the EuroNGOs, a European network of sexual and reproductive health advocacy organizations.
