For Support Of The Eastern Africa Social And Gender Norms Learning Collaborative

Overview
This grant will support the Eastern Africa Social and Gender Norms Learning Collaborative (EALC) to strengthen linkages among practitioners, researchers, advocates, and evaluators; share practical resources to improve norms-shifting interventions; and generate evidence to advance social norms policy and practice in the region. EALC will work with the global collaborative to develop a participatory governance structure and increase the security of its virtual learning platforms to improve programming, advocacy, and monitoring efforts. The Power Transformation Lab at UC San Diego will launch an initiative to help facilitate model-based international collaboration for accelerated energy decarbonization. The new initiative will partner U.S. researchers with Asian stakeholders to generate policy recommendations and technical guidance through innovative model-based collaborations. The lab will emphasize the creation of open and broadly accessible data, models, and insights, to target academia, civil society organizations, and industry stakeholders. for support of the Cyber Escalation Lab and emerging scholars  
The Center for Peace and Security Studies (cPASS) at the University of California at San Diego conducts rigorous, data-driven research on international affairs and U.S. foreign policy, with a focus on new and emerging areas, including cyber conflict. With this grant, cPASS will create a Cyber Escalation Lab to empirically study cyber conflict and develop a diverse cohort of junior scholars to help expand the burgeoning field. This grant supports our Talent Pipeline strategy.
