Overview
The mission of the Oakland Fund for Public Innovation (OFPI), a project housed at the New Venture Fund, is to engage public- and private-sector partners to innovate, test, and scale ideas that will enhance and help improve the city of Oakland. This fund is strategically positioned to leverage the resources and strengths of the public and private sectors to support city priorities. The Hewlett Foundation’s support will help OFPI tackle some of Oakland’s most complex issues of income inequality, housing, employment, and racial equity, with a focus on the most vulnerable communities in the city.
