Overview
The Curve Foundation is a fiscally sponsored project of Social Good Fund, a California nonprofit corporation. The foundation is focused on giving voice to, validating, and preserving the experiences and stories of the lesbians, queer women, trans women, and nonbinary people of all races and ages who make up the Curve Community. This grant will support the foundation’s operating expenses as it hires its first staff members. During the first year, it will build its first cohort of emerging journalists focused on telling stories related to the Curve Community, bringing them into community through a partnership with the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. With its new executive director, it plans to develop and implement programming around leadership and community archives and build its administrative, fundraising, and communications systems to enable future growth.

for the Civity project
Civity’s vision and work is creating a culture of belonging for everyone. Civity trains and coaches community leaders to intentionally foster relationships of respect and empathy between people who see each other as different. With this grant, Civity will support diverse members of fossil fuel-dependent communities to form relationships enabling them to work together in a “just transition” toward resilient and environmentally sustainable new economies. Civity is housed within the Social Good Fund; this grant will provide flexible support for Civity's work.
