Overview
Oriki Arts (formerly Oriki Theater) is an African arts and cultural organization dedicated to nurturing and sharing African cultures, traditions, and arts with communities across the Bay Area. Each year, Oriki Arts reaches about 100,000 audiences and community members through a combination of outreach programs in local schools, mentorship programs for youth, a film festival, and a theatrical production season. Oriki Arts’ programs feature dance, drama, music, poetry, chant, folk stories, and drumming. Support of Oriki Arts advances the Performing Arts Program’s Communities strategy.
