Overview
CuriOdyssey is a Bay Area science and wildlife center helping children under 10 "acquire the tools to deeply understand the changing world." Today, science accounts for only 6 percent of California schools’ Academic Performance Index, yet projected growth rates for the science and technology workforce far exceed those of other occupations. Helping to fill this educational gap, CuriOdyssey served almost 150,000 visitors in 2014 through its exhibits, classrooms, camps, and wildlife center. Thirty-five percent of CuriOdyssey’s educational programming is provided free to low income schools and groups. CuriOdyssey is in the midst of a $35 million capital campaign to design and re-construct its main building and strengthen its educational programs and outreach.
