Planned Parenthood Mar Monte

For General Operating Support

Overview
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (PPMM), founded in 1963, is currently the largest Planned Parenthood affiliate in the United States. It provides medical services through health centers and community service sites throughout central and northern California and northern Nevada. A majority of the health centers are located in the San Francisco Bay Area and California’s Central Valley, which has some of the highest teen birth rates in the country. This unrestricted grant would provide support for PPMM’s activities to provide family planning and reproductive health services to diverse and underserved populations in these communities.

Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Santa Clara County Opportunity Youth Partnership
This grant will support the Santa Clara County Opportunity Youth Partnership and its goal to reduce by half the number of disengaged youths in Santa Clara County by 2029. The partnership between the Santa Clara County Office of Education, United Way Bay Area, and Kids in Common (a program of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte) exists to weave education, workforce development, and support services into a widely accessible reengagement system for youths. Through the partnership, a desired goal by 2021 is to build a physical Opportunity Center that will provide services and tools for youths and young adults to go back to school.
