Program Associate, Global Development and Population Program
Teresa joined the Hewlett Foundation's Global Development and Population Program in 2010. Previous to her joining the Foundation, she worked in international grantmaking and socially responsible investments with The Christensen Fund and Oikocredit International focusing on sustainable development, biodiversity resilience, and rural livelihoods. In 2009, she lived in Cambodia and the Philippines as a fellow for Kiva.org studying microfinance.
She holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology from Saint Mary’s College of California and is currently working on her MBA at U.C. Davis. As a program associate, she assists the program director with grantmaking focused on Women’s Economic Empowerment and new opportunities. She also assists in managing grants, budgets, and Board communications for the Global Development and Population team. When she is not working, you may find her running, traveling, or climbing rocks.
